IAPR endorsment

The International Conference on Image Analysis and Processing (ICIAP) is one of the most important events covering image processing and pattern recognition which is organized every two years by the Italian group of researchers on pattern recognition (GIRPR) affiliated with the IAPR (International Association on Pattern Recognition).

The topics of ICIAP 2007 have been organized into five main streams:
THEORY, SURVEILLANCE AND SECURITY, MULTIMEDIA,
HUMAN-CENTRED APPLICATIONS, INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS

Luciano Pavarotti
The whole of Modena mourns the death of Luciano Pavarotti. The University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and the ICIAP organization would like to express their sympathy on this sad loss.

Art Exhibitions openings
The photography exhibition "Site of Tehcnology" of Lewis Balz (Giardini Ducali, Modena) and the painting and design exhibition of Mimmo Paladino (Galleria Civica, Modena) will open on Friday, 14 september 2007.

Festival della Filosofia 2007
Modena will host the 2007 edition of the Philosophy Festival. The festival will start on the last day of the conference (Friday 14th). For more information: Festival della Filosofia 2007.

proceedings of the previous ICIAP edition (ICIAP 2005, held in Cagliari)
A limited number of copies of the proceedings of the previous ICIAP edition (ICIAP 2005, held in Cagliari) will be kindly offered for free during ICIAP 2007 by the Pattern Recognition and Applications Research Group of the University of Cagliari. The proceedings will be available at the ICIAP 2007 reception desk, and will be distributed on a first-come first served policy (no more than one copy for each attendee)
